The Pursuit Of Happiness

Every day, we see life, we see a different struggle,
All I see is a movement to make each other miserable.
I wake up each morning into the future, all I see is ash,
I see dust, smoke and destruction, a hunger for cash.

Nowadays, even lovers have different criteria,
Checking out a person's negations on social media.
Where are the days where the love would be so bright?
Where a couple would be forever together,  at first sight?

That way a lot of things could be avoided, a lot of wars,
As love is the path to darkness and evil, if not fulfilled it scars,
It breaks trust and kills emotions, makes a person dark inside,
It clouds a person's instincts, makes it hard for them to anything decide.

Stop this madness, of trying out other people,
Seeking what works out, with some rupees, dollars or a nickle.
Stop seeking out what's wrong with a person,
Stop creating unnecessary acts of arson.

We were all born of a cause, no, not destruction,
We were all part of something beautiful, of creation,
We were born to create love out of thin air,
Not to create ash in air, to create smoke and war.

The day when we will stand behind each other,
Even when the walls come tumbling down, over and over,
We hold hands, united, I'll be right behind you holding it,
I'll protect you from harm and be glad that we made it.

I, you, and everyone knows nothing lasts forever,
That's why they think of being selfish, their own pleasure.
But think that when we stand tall together, in each doubt,
Being selfless, for other's ambition, helping each other out.

We could really take over despair, even when we are out of sorts ,
Eradicate sadness, mother nature's worst remorse.
Remove the black, and make it white and bright,
Holding onto hope, freedom and peace very tight.

I hope to see the pursuit of happiness fulfilled,
Every love story completed , every plate filled,
Every ambition achieved, that is my wish.
When the air would be clean in my dreams with a swish.
