We are humans. Superior beings, intellectual beings, beings
with the ability to talk and what not. Our so-called supremacy is our greatest
treasure, we thrive on the concept of the superiority 'complex'. The reason
behind this: we all have an inferiority complex. We have this need to show that
we are better than others, no one is truly humble or modest, somewhere down the
line, when we get a chance to show the person we hate the most, we grab it and
show them, that we are better than them. All in vain.
Why? Because we have another concept in our minds which is
closely linked to this complex. Hope, survival, salvation. Because in our
minds, we have this illusion that one day, we will no need to be better than
others, that one day it will be a better day than all the others and everything
will be alright, that one day, being superior or inferior won't matter that one
day, we will be satisfied and at peace.
This concept of salvation, is never overrated. No matter if
the person has abandoned all hope, If that said person sees even a tiny ray of
hope, of salvation, he will cling onto it and hold onto it for as long as he
possibly can.
Salvation can mean different things for different people, in
the form of love, money, family, companionship or something else. But at the
base, it is the same, peace of MIND.
But, have you ever thought about one thing, what if you
didn't know what can bring you peace? That the answer to bring you peace, lies
in the answer itself, and to find the answer to that answer you'd have to look
for a long time and still wouldn't get it. What then? What about salvation?
Wouldn't it be a maze without an entry or an exit? Wouldn't it be utter chaos?
Wouldn't it be a chaos without a beginning and an end? Wouldn't it be the sole
chaos which didn't have anything existing before it and nothing created after
it? Where the chaos in the mind would be the way of living, where there is no
creation after destruction.
What would you do then? Would you die hopeless? OR would you
continue to seek your answer, or would you just continue to live on in hopes to
find the answer, ironically, that would be your salvation of getting your
salvation. Isn't life complicated?
Isn't salvation overrated? I mean why do we need salvation?
Why do we need any concept at all? Why can't be just live peacefully with
fellow humans? The answer, NO. Because without these ugly concepts, there
wouldn't have been any progress in any field, academics, technology, science,
philosophy, ironically, there wouldn’t have been any category in the first
place, and more irony, all these things wouldn’t have been needed either?
SO what is the answer? What can we do in our lives to find
salvation? DO we need it? Does such a thing exist? Are we a mad dog running after
a mail van on an empty road with no traffic signals and no traffic?
I don't know, but what I do know is this, the thing we do
need apart from salvation, is compassion, peace, love, sensitivity, sensibility
and love for our fellow humans and most important of all, we need to learn to
let things go. Because if we do learn that, we won't need any salvation and
automatically there would be peace. Can I say another ironic thing? Our
salvation is the only thing which is preventing our progress towards it. Do
think about it.
At some point everybody needs salvation.
ReplyDeleteWe all go through so many different things and after a while all we wish for is to be saved.
That just comes naturally I guess.
True...that is what we hang onto all the time, the hope of salvation.
